the only leech I’m worry about is the one sitting in the white House continuously trying to attach itself to my wallet.

I’ve lived under both the National Health system in Britain (30yrs) and the money-grubbing system over here (‘bout the same amount of time), and the NH is so much better and cheaper. Which is worse, paying a tax or paying MUCH MORE to a company? Especially when that company has whole departments dedicated to denying as many claims as possible.
So I suggest, Mach-a-do about nothing, that you grow up and think of all the people who suffer under the leeches of the current system here.

My Brit friend told me to avoid the NH system at all costs, since it’s such a failure there – did you ever get sick?

So why are they changing richardelguru?
Gary Kleppe said, 4 months ago
They aren’t changing, howdy doody. Not even the right-wingers in British government would dare suggest going to USA-style private financing.

We aren’t even talking about National Heath CARE over here, more like National Health INSURANCE, where everyone can have access* to the wonders that science provides.

Well Richard,
If we’re talking personal experiences, I’ve had no problems or complaints with my insurance or health care. That included a hip replacement at what is normally considered a young age.

Having spoken with a number of people from countries with “national” health care, the vast majority were very pleased. The strongest complainer I know is an ex-Canadian complaining about the Canadian system while he’s a right-winger, living here for over 40 years, who has a government job and health plan. HIs argument seems “inconsistent”?
