I really wish I could find out how much the Big 3 spent fighting cafe standards, must be hard to add up after all those decades.

And how much, lalas, went into congress mens’ pockets?

It’s like dealing with my 15-month-old. You spend 10 minutes trying to get her to brush her teeth, and she fights and screams and shakes her head – all because she wants to go play. If she would just brush, she would have been done 9 minutes earlier.
The auto industry has spent years fighting better standards (at significant cost, mind you) when we could have already been producing some awesome technology now.
Back to the Future gave the industry way too much credit, what with McFly riding in a hover car in 2015…

Yeah, Late, but it was retrofitted to a DeLorean. No evidence that it was the car industry that created the hovertech.
And oldlegodad…check with Dingell, now fortunately ousted by Waxman. Now we might get something done!
