Big gods have little gods upon their backs to bite them
Little gods have smaller gods and so on infinitum.

You guys ever read the one where the same thing happens to God-God-Man? You’ll never guess how he gets out of it.

“Many philosophers and thinkers have seen the existence of the Babel Fish as final and clinching proof of the NON-Existence of God!
The argument goes like this; “I refuse to prove that I exist”, says God, “For Proof Denies Faith, And Without Faith, I Am Nothing!”
“But”, says man, “The Babel Fish could NOT have evolved naturally! It proves that you exist, so, therefore, you DON’T!”
“Oh Dear”, says God, “I Hadn’t Thought Of That!”, and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic!
“Oh, That Was Easy”, Thinks Man, who goes on to prove that black is white, and promptly gets killed on the next Zebra crossing!

And you religious nuts remember this strip is about God-Man, not GOD … which, of course, is short for GOD Over Djinn. And, that’s just short for (GOD Over Djinn) Over Djinn. Which obviously expands to ((GOD Over Djinn) Over Djinn) Over Djinn. And so on all the way up.
Paradoxer says: “Check out ‘Gödel, Escher, Bach’, pp. 110-115, kids!”

Paradoxes verse oxymorons—-who would win? Who should win? There are sacred oxymorons.

This strip today reminds me of Hindu religion. They have hierarchies of gods leading up to the ultimate one who is formless and ever present and has three names. All other gods genuflect to IT.

Of course God-Man can produce a stone he can’t lift. He wears it as a pinkie ring.

Actually, I’ve never noticed that God cares all that much about crime…or about disease, or murders, or children dying horribly, or rape and genocide. What DOES God actually care about, I wonder?

Twinkle, twinkle, little star
God-God-Man is at the bar
Up above the world so high
Drinking beer and shots of rye
Twinkle, twinkle, little star
Do not let Him drive His car
