   My contention is that a certain segment of the 1% see Global Warming as an advantage for them. Dictatorships rule in harsh climates. They want to be the rulers with we the no upper class hoping to get a job to survive the terrible trials of finding food, water and a place to live. They see it as a boon to corporate kind and Plutocratic rule.

    OK, let’s check the facts. In the last 150 ish years the earth has warmed .7 Centigrade. OH MY the sky is falling.Come on, get real, we’re still receeding from the last ice age. This is natural warming/cooling cylces.

    Oh, so when New York is underwater, you won’t mind? You seem to have missed the third hurdle: It’s being driven by human activity.

    There was a recent meta-study into all the various papers that have been published regarding climate in the past 10 years.

    Not a single one denied the conclusion that global warming is real and is being driven primarily by human activities.

    Exactly what is it you would need to know in order for you to consider the possibility that you’re wrong?

    It isn’t getting warmer. New York isn’t ging under water unless there’s an axis shift or a tsunami or the Yellowstone volcano decides toi blow.

    It won’t be enjoyable is the problem. It will be a nightmare that never ends and grows worse year by year. The best we can do is to eliminate excess GHGs then start reversing the process. It could take many centuries but it would be worth it down the line.
