My friend V was looking for a job for months after completing medical school at 45 years of age. I told him to hang on: he had been an electrical engineer for 20 years, and that, I thought, should mean something. Sure enough, a neurologist hired him when he was about to quit; now he puts electrodes on patients before surgery (it’s a start!) :)
