Yep, that’s how it’s gonna be pretty soon. The fatcat oligarchs will bombard the low information types with ads until they vote the way the one percent want. Use my method, save up all your political mail, and the biggest pile loses.

Oh, I don’t know. It’s always interesting to view a commentary on the ‘legal’ dismantling of a republic.

I think we need to appoint a Dictator for 6 months like ancient Rome to dissolve the government and make a law that anyone who was in the old government cannot be in the new.
Time to get rid of pensions for Senators/Representatives without the pension they would not stay in those jobs for life.

And, they are going to keep right on doing it until we stop them. We are the 99%—- that means we have the votes to elect people who will actually represent middle class workers and provide a safety net for those who are trying to get into the middle class. We all need to know who is supporting the candidates. That is who they will be working for. They have no choice if they want to stay in office. You have to do the bidding of whoever who is paying your way, just the same as we all do in our jobs. So, before going to vote, look it up on the internet. Open Secrets is a good site, but there are plenty. If the candidate is getting their money from small donors or from unions, they are going to be working for middle class working people. If their donations are from corporationsor from 1%ers, don’t figure they are going to go against them and do anything for the middle class. It would be political suicide.

Money isn’t speech and corporations are not people. Just right wing judges putting their kind of people in power.

The two party system has “predetermined by the big money” choices at the present time.
Third party candidates will face organized opposition at the local levels with this ruling.

Cutting the grass at the roots saves problems later.

One thing NOBODY in DC needs is any ideas from ancient Rome. The current bunch is rowdy enough; they don’t need a slippery slope down to poisoning, debauchery, personal coteries of armed thugs and bloody circuses. Just sounds like too much fun. And after all, they might like a change from what they’re “doing” now.

I really don’t think any particular group has a corner on that kind of cerebral paralysis. It just takes different forms.

Our Supreme Court is just as Crooked as Congress. Thomas Jefferson said it best. A country needs a revolution every few generations.

Money is just a way of getting a message out, the onus is still on the voters to be informed. If the message money is pushing is false, the media will correct it soon enough and the message will backfire.

^Right! I mean, no legislator has ever voted, or pushed legislation, because of the influence of their ‘donors’, right?
The Koch Brothers hatred of Obama, is not at all reflected by Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham, Paul Ryan, etc., right?
Just a way of getting the ‘message’ out.

    Jon L-ski the media?

    Which media?
    Who owns that media?
Big money means you can own newspapers, etc.
Having big money means you can be very loud.
Watch FOX news and you can see an example of big, loud, money.
