Exactly what happens if you let religion, any religion, get the upper hand. That lady better watch out, she’s gonna need a burkha

Obviously this business wouldn’t last long. There’s a minimum wage law and break time laws, but if you don’t like the healthcare benefits they offer, get a different job!
You can start the Devil Worshiper Carwash or Atheists Burgers. That’s your right.
Well, it WAS your right before Big-Gov Barry took over.

Huh? I didn’t know that Obama took away your right to worship.

So the minimum wage and minimum break times are OK to mandate, but minimum insurance coverage is evil. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

ConGov and I are on different sides of the center line, however, he is a good person with strong views and while often sarcastic, he is rarely as insulting as some of the commentators on both sides of the issues discussed here.
Also, recognizing minimum wage and break times as established realities is not a hypocrisy and he never stated his views on whether he liked them or not. He does believe the ACA is a bad thing for our country and as it is a process still under progress, he may end up being right. It is poorly constructed and being actively sabotaged, but it is my personal hope that moderate minds will come together and fix it.
Also, the military Chaplain’s guide has instructions on how to ‘counsel’ atheist and satan worshiping soldiers along with all the other belief systems. I have a guess of what ConGov meant by saying Mr. Obama’s policies effected your ability to start a religious based company, but I don’t think it had anything to do with our rights to worship, or not worship.
I’ve already commented on this topic under Matt Bors today.
I just wanted to defend a person I’ve come to like.

Sad thing is that this comic is not a work of fiction back of fact in today’s America.
Freedom of religion only if you believe in Jesus is what many want.
The purpose of religion is to control the masses by putting the fear of the supernatural in them. Saying magic words does not help you.

Pregnancy creates medical needs for mother and child. Receiving that care benefits us all.

    As an actual Mormon?
Most of us don’t care if our co-workers drink coffee.
Now, I will ask questions of anyone foolish enough to pay $5 a cup for something that they could make at home for pennies, but if you want to drink coffee then you can drink coffee.

What in Hades are you talking about?? I’m so tired of evangelicals whining that they’re being persecuted. Please. Christianity is practically the state-sanctioned religion in the US. Please climb down off your cross, we’re going to need the wood for fuel, now that Congress has just thrown 10 million people under the bus by refusing to extend unemployment benefits to the jobless. Now, there’s persecution. Good grief!

    I love it!!!
Can I get that as a bumper sticker??
The one I like to think I created was,
“Pray for me, but don’t Prey ON me.”
Those would match up so well!
    Thanks Radish!!

If you were born without a gall bladder should you be able to save on your premiums? You wouldn’t ever need to have it removed, and you could never get gallstones. Why pay for treatment you can prove you don’t need?

I have no children of my own; never plan to. Yet I happily pay taxes to support schools. Education is the future of our society, and I am pleased to contribute to my society’s future. And, as an American, I am also happy to help my fellow Americans. If this means paying insurance premiums that include maternity care, so be it. I know one day some mother will help my insurance company pay for my prostate exam. Even Steven, as far as I can tell.

And what if I have a “do not rescuscitate” directive? Do I get a break on premiums because they’ll let me die, rather than spend outrageous sums keeping me alive on a ventilator? And what if I don’t think ANYONE should be kept alive when the Grim Reaper comes a-callin’; can I get a reduced rate because I believe NO one should be resuscitated? Can I, as a business owner, be allowed to stipulate that no one covered by the insurance I offer be allowed to be resuscitated? I can claim this is a religious belief, and who are you to tell me it’s not?

You want to talk slippery slopes…
