As long as there is more than one “superpower”, This is more than likely what will happen. What’s the answer? Maybe one world goverment to go along with our world economy? Will it work? I guess all of us “first worlders” need to get used to “third world” lifestyles first. That is how humanity works- we don’t lift those below us up to our level, we pull those above us down. This is the way it will be- now and forever.

Syria’s problem is that it has less than half of one percent of the world’s oil reserves. Because of that, the superpowers don’t give a crap what happens to them.

We have been trying war for all of recorded human history, and it never works long term to end hostilities. Remind me again what it is called with someone keeps trying the same action over and over and expects different results each time?

Maybe we need an alternate method to deal with the insanity? Naw — makes too much sense, nobody will buy it.

Absolutely: nothing going on in the world but the stuff that the gop thinks can be turned to political advantage.

There are two types of war, political war and wars fought with no regard for politics or what anything thinks about the process. The last such war the US fought began in 1942. The one before it began in 1861. Countries take about 80-100 years between such wars. China fought such a war with Japan and a civil war at the same time. Russia, and most of Europe, were fully involved in WWII. The world is almost ready for the really big war, WWIII.
