Their spiel is that govt does “nothing right.” So they have a stake in its failing. All those holders of gold are betting on failure so that the price goes up.

Let’s look at it this way the Democrats protected Slavery, Created Segregation, use government hand outs to take away incentive that takes away motivation and the Republicans are the bad guys.

…and as the Democrats moved away from compromises on racial issues, they lost the regions obsessed with the issues of racism, classism, and control through fear (including the South) to the Republicans. That’s part of why the Republicans are the bad guys now.

The thing is that those who we have elected to represent us seem to be making sure that they are the new 1%.

Sorry your wrong that that is not reason to be labeled the bad guy. Obama is the one who is obsessed with classism comming up with the whole 1% thing he also tried (and failed) to use control thourgh fear with the Sequistration cuts.

Today the Democrats have left the African American in a worse condition then it was twenty years ago. They have worked to help every other minority group. Gays, Latinos but the African American Male has a 1/4 unemployment rate under Obama. Don’t believe me go to Chicago or Detroit.

You must be referring to “The Whore of the Senate” McConnell. The “my priority is to make Obama a one term president” joker. How’s that working out?

    Hey Mark,

So on inaugural day, 2008, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Newt Gingrich and several other GOP leaders hatched a plan where they would obstruct all business by Obama, even business that they, republicans, agreed with. They became obstructionist and they all admit to this meeting and the tactic. So you’re going to have to forgive the rest of rational America who won’t excuse the GOP for the damage they’ve done to this country, just because they’re a bunch of baby sore losers who tried to pick up the ball and go home.

Racism: What I was referring to was originally Nixon’s Southern Strategy, which has been refined and updated by this generation of Republicans and Tea Partiers. And calling out the 1% for basically eating our lunch, our dinner, and putting a lien on our breakfast, is not classism or fear-mongering, because it’s true. Blaming illegal immigrants and the working poor for being a tax burden, and blaming illegal immigrants for taking away desirable jobs, is classism and fear-mongering, because those allegations are untrue.
You say that sequestration cuts are an issue of control and fear, but the Republicans embraced sequestration!
I also see that you blame the broken economy on Obama, which was thoroughly broken before he took office as President. The Republicans have consistently been fighting economic stimulus packages, diminishing them to limit their effectiveness and then trying to take credit for any good effects.
