It doesn’t matter what your problem might be.
You need More Guns, and More Ammo for Every Gun.

Fear of an inanimate object indicates sexual and emotional immaturity.

Outlawing alcoholic beverages has already been tried. Did it work? YES, it did work. Domestic abuse dropped. Real crime rates lowered. The problem was, too many people wanted their booze, so they claimed it didn’t work. The same thing would happen with outlawing guns.

If you don’t buy all these great accessories you’re all a bunch of cowardly liberal Democrats. We need guns to prove we’re not a bunch of wimps & have something to shoot our mouths off with.

Only 27% of our population of over 315 million people have all those 300 million guns.

Blinding from amateur alcohol went up, violence in the streets went up. Cartels formed. It wasn’t successful at all. Even though nearly everyone wanted it it failed. The rest of the Drug War continues to fail. (Since 1914 and still going strong.)

“Alcoholic Beverages kill more people daily than guns, should we ban alcoholic beverages?”

I’m guessing you mean there are more alcohol related traffic fatalities that gun deaths. States have been cracking down on DWI, with a large drop in drunk driving deaths.

DWI laws have been so effective, that since 2010, there were more gun homicides than alcohol related fatalities. If we count gun suicides, it’s not even close.

Explain how cosmetic changes make a gun more powerful.

@Night-Gaunt49, the actual number is 80-90 million, or about 45% of all households, including Democrats.

Gun homicide numbers include those shot by police, and those shot lawfully in self-defense. The largest single group of gun homicides are gang criminals shooting other gang criminals. End the drug wars, and those numbers will drop.

But go ahead, stay with your fear and loathing of inanimate objects.

I have evinced no “fear and loathing of inanimate objects.”

Prohibition resulted in an initial drop in alcohol consumption (and associated crime) but, as people became more accustomed to ‘gaming’ the system that number rose until, toward the end of the era, alcohol consumption was nearly as high as it was before the law was passed. As demand for alcohol rose and enforcement officials had to use stricter and stricter measures the crime rate rose, tracking the enforcement measures. Toward the end we had massive gang violence and drive-by shootings. The Mafia became one of the richest and most powerful organizations in the country. With the repeal of prohibition gang violence dropped off to the point where drive by shootings were almost unknown until the 80’s when the war on drugs went into full swing.
