So where did tomatoes come from? Did they evolve from that one single cell that came from the ocean? The universe hasn’t been around long enough for everything living thing on our planet to have evolved from one cell crawling out of the ocean. It takes as much faith to believe in evolution as it does to believe in a thinking Creator. End of story.

Can’t see why Creationists and Evolutionists can’t agree? Things God made evolved. Things Man made evolved. The bug I caught in the 60s evolved and the VA doctors tell me to get my things in order. I believe in God and Darwin but if you want to believe those are Grampapa’s keyboards beneath your fingers, you got the right.

Don’t think so Baslim. Looks like he’s implying the opposite.

Sorry to hear that, Lewreader. Fundie creationists believe that God created species just as they are now (each thing after its own kind). So, creation was 6000 yrs ago, took seven (six) days, and everything now is just as it was then.

And is as immutable as their opinions on just about everything.
Thank goodness everyone isn’t like this.

ah yes, the fact that the earth has been around for some 3 billion years or so and the religious idiocy THINKS 6000…and we KNOW they are as deluded as they can POSSIBLY be… but what the heck, obstinance is part of “religion”, RIGHT? Oh, it was all "created that way – including the FOSSILS… OH YEAHRIGHT

I don’t believe in evolution because:

    a) If man has evolved from apes, why are apes still here? Did some of them just decide NOT to evolve?

    b) It cannot be proven in a laboratory. Evolution is just a theory. Charles Darwin, the father of evolutionary theory, himself said that Evolution was only one theory of the Origin of Man.

Evolution must be believed by faith and faith alone. Just as Creationism must be believed by Faith. Choose ye this day whom you will serve. You can choose to follow fallible man or you can choose to believe God.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Ahh yes,,,, more tea party morons come to the front. Geeze.

As a great man once said “God provided us with our magnificent intellect, nothing in scripture tells us not to use it.”

You probably also think the Bush tax cuts have done wonderful things for our economy.

You can believe in God and also understand evolution. It CAN be proven in a lab, and has been. It CAN also be proven just by observing nature over time. In my 6 decades I have observed evolution in grasshoppers, flys, and elsewhere. Just open your eyes.

Get off the fundamentalist “me only” wagon and actually THINK a bit. God knows someone has got to start doing some thinking, why don’t you start?

By the way,,,, call yourself a Christian, do you? Well, perhaps you better have a read of Mark, Mathew, and Luke, do you HONESTLY think Jesus would be impressed by the tea party mantra?

Why do uneducated liberals believe that anyone who has a belief in a Supreme Being (s) believes 1 God made everything in a work week, collected his check, and took a nap 2.If God created everything, then nothing ever changes. Duh, I am so dumb I can’t see microorganism evolve before my eyes in a test tube. 3.That if ancient man could not conceive eons, he could conceive days. God going from nothing to light to matter, to oceans to land to plants to animals to land plants and animals to man. If Ancient man figured out that order of creation without some form of inspiration, how did he do it. He sure didn’t do by induction or deduction.Newton and Copernicus could not have figured that out without modern equipment.
Devine inspiration? Naw! Thats a fairy tale.
Of course Man didn’t get it perfect back then, Days/eons. He never caught on that She’s black. But as the Danish Prince said, “Perchance to dream, ahh there’s the rub.”
Dem crazy religious nuts. Believe in the 10 Commandments, are against the 7 deadly sins, and worst of all, “Love thy neighbor as yourself” Now liberals wouldn’t believe any of that supersticious tripe.

Ha,,, good one Rick. Big business, rich? well, yeah, he’s a republican, right?

Wow … I’m not a Christian, mind you, but I have to say, Mr. Eagan, that you have to be a snotty, arrogant and intolerant fool to publish such cruel mockery of persons who happen to have a different world view than yourself. As for your apparent fans, who style themselves as “progressive” and “inclusive”, while deriding everyone from outside their tribe as “morons”, all I can say is that you seem to have found your niche.

As to the strip, there are plenty of clean-shaven, public college-educated, respectable members of American society who believe in Biblical Creationism and even speak about it at the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. The average creationist does not look like an animal but like your co-worker or neighbor.
