    We had one like that used to raid our bird table – I swear you could hear it panting with exertion as it lurched across the lawn dragged itself up the pole. The when it jumped off it would bounce as the whole garden shuddered.

    A fat juicy squirrel like that would have the migrating red tail hawks licking their lips. If they had any lips, of course.

    We have a fat squirrel in our back yard that likes to get food from the bird feeder that is on a pole. In order to discourage him, I greased the pole. It was so funny to see the first time when he leaped at the pole and slowly slid down.

    I’m imagining it now – and also imagining notsooldguy’s hawk with lips (and lipstick – why not?).
