    NO!
    You don’t deprive others – when you give, you should deprive yourself!
    You should make your donation IN ADDITION to buying your furbabies their gifts – otherwise the donation is not from you.
    Cut down on the Christmas food, sweets and drink – you’ll have too much anyway – and make a donation from that. That way you get the joy of seeing your babies enjoy their treat AND know you’ve done good.
    You and Vicki could give up your own gifts to each other and donate that cash, but please – don’t deprive the children!
    (Though if they’re like ours, they get stuff all year round anyway)
    I’m all for donating – do it every year including a tin of sweets for the workers there), but my little tuppences get their present, too.

    @Pacopuddy

    I totally agree, Pacopuddy! Vicki, come and straighten out this guy! I donate year round, but didn’t think of a gift/treat for the staff/volunteers. A stellar idea and I’m going to do show my appreciation to those wonderful non-fur babies too!

    The other option is to adopt a new friend for them!
