So the dog thinks to himself: I outsmart them every time.

I had a Blue heeler that was like Koko. I eneded up havig to pay extra for chewable pills, I’d drop them in with her food. It worked.
On the other hand I have Pitty that will take any pill you give with out question. “It comes from his hand, It must be a goodie”

our terrier would eat the food all around the pill and then she would eat the pill. Funniest thing to see. She lived to 20 years andwas well and loved.

Reminds me of Farley from For Better or Worse – he wouldn’t eat peas.

My dog hated them and placed the pills on the floor. Then he figured out that they made him feel better and were a treat.

I swear that dogs have secret pouches in there cheeks, which are good for pills and things they shouldn’t eat. I had one dog that could fine a pill in a pound of cheese.

I finally got both my dogs to take their pills (nearly impossible before) by using soft cheese with a smokey flavor and sticking the pills in the middle and rolling it into a ball. They think it’s the best treat ever!

Hold their muzzles upward and stroke their throat downward. They will have to swallow.
.
That’s strange, Kojo doesn’t look like a spitz.

she forgot to wrap the pill in cheese wrapped in bacon. A friend gives her ‘boys’ a treat after walkies, every night. Sometimes there’s a pill in the treat, sometimes not.

When I was a kid, we had a fox terrier who wouldn’t eat peas. It got to be a game. Mom would put one pea in his food. When he was done eating, there would be the pea, licked clean, in solitary splendor in the middle of the bowl.

Umm… after 3 hours, wouldn’t the pill have broken down at least a good measure in the mouth (creating an awful taste and some benefit)? :-s
