Many people are skeptical of paleontology anyway, because it disputes God; so the less they understand, the more they’ll believe — the very basis of all religion. (the tooth fairy? Is he nuts?)

which is weird because there is a lot more and varied evidence for paleontology/evolution than for god. (You know, like lots against pretty much the same amount as for the tooth fairy).

Actually, if you put the story of Creation in Genesis along side evolution, there’s no conflict. Water and chaos, fish in the sea, plants, animals and then mankind. The problem comes when people think God works 24 hour shifts.

I can produce evidence for the tooth fairy. Hard cold cash.
It is as physical as any fossilized dinosaur turd.

Perhaps, but Genesis was a collection of ancient legends and myths. If Moses wrote it, he supposedly was raised in the house of the king and was an educated man who had access to all collected histories. How do you explain creation to an illiterate people who’ve been enslaved for hundreds of years? He was trying to satisfy their need to know; their need to have a beginning. People take the Bible way too seriously.

Don’t you know sarcasm when you read it? But I was right about it being the basis of all religions. The more people don’t understand, the more they’re willing to believe what they’re told. Very few investigate for themselves.

Dani Rice: The problem is people who believe God would act just like they would if they had the power.

more like the people who accept that myth of creation in the first place…

No it doesn’t since it gives two contradictory Creation stories one where humans are last an the other where Man is first. Also where does it say that all animals are related an will change with time by the environment when it changes? Sorry no go. Also if all animals an plants were specially created that also violates all the fossil evidence, biological including DNA an morphology so it is a fail, fail, fail here.

Such global conspiracy hoaxers exist in the same minds that poo-poo Evolution too.

Anyway the truth of the “tooth fairy” was given in “Hellboy II The Golden Army.” They need calcium in their diet an they will take it from broccoli or from bones starting with the teeth.
