Michael Jantze¹s The Norm is the comic strip for the every-person -- that is, if that person is a little bit geeky, in touch with their inner child, constantly confused by the opposite sex, and willing to be a little goofy just to keep things normal! The clever dialogue and bold art style are perfectly complementary to the unique observations and imaginative adventures of the title character - Theodore Norman Miller.

Let me guess. It was five in the morning and they just opened, and you think they’re a friggin’ bank. Right?

If he is open for business he should have change in the draw. Wish I had the nerve to pop a kid like that. On the other hand hit him with an Amex card.

No, it is hard on the store to keep making change for $20’s, they aren’t banks, it is your fault this time Norm. No sympathy.

I’m surprised a classy coffe stand like that didn’t have a prepaid coffee card with 10 spaces to punch on a $10 card.
This is old school stuff. Bet the coffee stand served
coffee – caf or decaf with a creamer and sugar/sweetener
thrown in on the side.

The truth is, it is a server’s job to serve, and if the customer is making a purchase, it is not unreasonable to give them change. Besides, $20.00 is not too big.

-—————————————-Very true, and even just for change! Those were the days!
As for Norm’s problem, I blame the ATM’s. No denominations less than a $20!
Maybe Norm should have paid with a Credit card and then see what the guy says?
