We just discontinued the penny here, but many busnissnes say thay will use them until they run out. American coins do make thier way up here so that might not happen.

I miss the days when in little shops you would have multiple
donation jars for ever cause. Pennies are necessary because rounding up or down to the nearest nickel always
make you feel cheated..

I heard Fess Parker (the old Daniel Boone guy) once speak about the value of a penny, how one penny could buy a cup of milk for someone in Africa. For some reason since then pennies have been special to me. I think God sometimes sends me little encouragements via me finding pennies. It seems at the most decisive moments in my life, I seem to find a penny “from God” to affirm the direction I am heading. I know it sounds weird but it seems to be just one little way He chooses to speak to me from time to time. :-)
