Don’t Panic, wise advice, and you will very definitely need a towel, even two.

If you and your towels are on the 42nd floor you’re in really good shape.

So, umm…
What’s the usual chance of Grisly Death in NYC when there isn’t a major storm?
Be careful up there. From someone who lives in the USUAL path of the big storms.

I found it rather surprising that 15-foot waves were expected – in Lake Michigan.

But, that’s really, really Improbable!
It’s almost Infinitely Improbable!

heard that lower manhattan is getting some flooding. plus, news showed that damaged high rise crane. and, up to 10 days without power.

In upstate NY, we didn’t get hit too bad. Rain, heavy winds, lots of power outages (though we ourselves were spared) and several downed trees. That’s about it as far as I can tell.

5:39AM in Haddon Heights, NJ. Since I’m typing this, power is obviously still on. (I’m old-school, still working on a desktop.) Storm seems to have gone through here without too much damage. Unfortunately, that seems to not be the case for way too many others. I wish them all well and hope things get back to some semblancy of normal before too long.

16 deaths in the US and Canada so far from this storm. I hope everyone stays safe.

My situation in inland Brooklyn is pretty good, but for areas near the water- Red Hook, Sheepshead Bay- it has been devastating.

I’m only sorry that Chris Christie wasn’t blown away in the storm.
