It must be one of those loose former Soviet warheads.

Back in the ’60s i played Diplomacy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomacy_(game)). A lot.
    .
When i was in Electronics School at Great Lakes Naval Training Center (1968 – 69), a lot of the other guys got interested.
    .
The last game we played, shortly before i graduated, started at 6PM on Friday, and finally broke up at about 4AM Monday.
    .
(Not that the same seven of us played all that time; people switched in and out. I played England, Italy and Russia at different points.)

This reminds me of Civ II (I played Risk, but it was a long time ago). In one game, I got tired of being “nice” and having the computer always be a jerk, so I just started nuking the crap out of my enemies. It turned into a very interesting world after that. Bleak, though.

Once had a friend run over his room mate over a Risk game. “You shouldn’t have attacked me in South Africa!” With a Camaro no less. Broke his ribs and pelvis.

Actually, RISK 2210 does include a nuclear option.

We used to combine Risk with a card game called Nuclear War. Invaded countries and the right of retailation.

The next game they play should be “Sorry”.

We used to allow each player to have one air drop into enemy territory….

My memory is from College and dorm fests with Risk. But if we read the whole list we get this: single guys who USED to play. Maybe the name should be Frustrated Testosterone? maybe it explains real wars, to an extent, too?

Risk! lol. We had our own nuke home rules. Provinces that had been ‘nuked’ were ‘radioactive’ thereafter. Automatically lose 1/2 of all armies upon entering . . .
