It’s also known as “Pandering to the elderly,” and it’s practiced well by Mutts, Cul-de-Sac, Baldo, and others.

Ah PAB, you have uncovered one of lifes little realities – the race is not always to the swift nor the fight to the strong, also popularity and financial success is not always to the talented or capable.

But “homeopathic comedy” is a real winner! I plan on using that phrase as often as I can because it fits so many, and not just in the funny pages

    Yes, a brilliant line.

If you don’t get it, one of the beliefs of the pseudo-science of homeopathy is that tiny amounts of supposedly medicinal materials are more effective than larger. The more watered down the “medicine” is, the better and more expensive.

It’s not a famous person. It’s a generic Victorian gentleman public domain photo I came across a while back and started using as “Dr. Bazouki.”

it’s too bad they can’t retire the "legacy’ “zombie” comics, where the cartoonist is actually dead! Make room for new talent.

For instance, “Dennis the Menace” isn’t still running, dear God, I hope . . .

@pschearer – yep – and if you work out the math of homepathics, it means that 1 does in 10 actually contains a single molecule of the original stuff. Where as some cartoons may have put forth 10 puns to get laughs, but unfortunately no pun in ten did.,,

    Yes it is.
You can catch it on arcamax.com.
I don’t like the new art work, though; the late Hank Ketcham was MUCH better.

I thought the right wing fundamentalists were trying to outlaw Homeopathic Comedy as a violation of their vision of Marriage.

Yes “Dennis the Menace” is still running an I believe with new ones. Houston Chronicle does.

Homeopathy has been around awhile too. Just as Allopathics. The AMA an HMA was created around the same time in the 1800’s.

Homoeopathy makes much more sense than allopathy. The allopathic doctor writes:

    ¼ + ¼ = ½
    which makes NO sense.

    Clearly, homeopathy gets it right:
    ¼ + ¼ = ⅛
    After all, 4 + 4 = 8, not 2!

Hence it follows as night follows day that a nanogram is a billion times stronger than a gram of any medication.

    Or watch this.

It’s not necessary for a comic to be funny……It’s the irony that gets one thinking. The original cartoons (18th century) were all about poilitical comment with much p**s taking. For the thinking person today humour is not essential; something has to click – and there it is…..a sucessful strip. Pab would not be seen here if he had nothing to offer.

Sit-coms give it to you on a plate – satire gives one food for thought.
