   There used to be a magazine “Psychology Today” that printed an article they presented as a discussion of the difficulties of interpersonal communication. It turned out to be the Abbott & Costello “Who’s on first?” skit.

   And while on the subject, I was told that Congresswoman Michele Bachmann gave a speech about how our debt to China was going to allow them to control our economy, causing her to proclaim “Hu’s your daddy!”

   Actually, both China and the USA each need for both of them to stay healthy. That’s a result of the ideology regarding increased globalization coupled with the drive for efficiency (productivity) as unmitigated goods. They are really double-edged swords.

   Watch what happens when the costs of transportation go up.

   China has a productive economy and we have a printing press. When our paper becomes worthless it won’t be the Chinese who are screwed. Read Peter Schiff.

   Yeah, and Bachmann had to explain who Hu was before she could tell that “joke”. Conservatives don’t know how to be funny (with the possible exception of P.J. O’Rourke, but only when he’s being nonpolitical).
