Schrodinger is the scientist who came up with the thought experiment in quantum mechanics that said that if you put a cat into a box with a vial of poison that is released by a trigger mechanism using a radioactive element so that it is totally random, until you actually look into the box to check, the cat is both alive and dead. Looking forces reality to choose one way or the other. (simplified version)
For you cat lovers, he didn’t actually do that by the way.

Poor Barfly. You can see his wavefunction collapse right there. How embarrassing.

This has been bugging me all week.
Is it pronounced Barf-Lee, or Bar-Fly?

Pronounce it how you choose. It’s not like anyone is going to approach me about a TNAOQV animated special.

If you wait long enough, the smell will tell you whether the cat is dead or not. Then the radioactive element won’t poison you.

Just wondering, Pab - did Terry Gilliam’s animation for Monty Python influence your style at all ? (An animated Vicky would be terrific !!)

MorganZ: Yes. I’ve spoken about a few times in interviews. I used to watch “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” back on WKBS-TV in Philadelphia in 1977 at the ripe old age of 8. It used to run at 11:30 after “Fernwood 2night” and “Mary Hartman Mary Hartman.” Best bleeep late night lineup ever for a precocious kid who couldn’t sleep.

Fernwood 2night & MHMH were almost as surreal as Python. You had a good education from those shows.
