Welcome to the Chicago Transit Authority - going nowhere…
Pab, hope you enjoyed your brief sojourn in the Windy City.

Maybe there will be love and miracles out of nowhere.

That sounds like it could be the Chicago blue line but there is no mention of delays or shuttle buses between stops. So I’m not sure where this is set.

Is the train to nowhere going to go over a bridge to nowhere?

That;s one long tube ride from Balmoral to Logan Square…nust be a French TGV …or maybe not…
Dmajor said, 3 months ago
Belmont, Logan Square, Blue Line are all parts of greater Boston, but nowhere near each other. It’s an MBTA Scramble.

OK - so that’s the last train to nowhere, but where do I catch the last train to Clarksville??
sundevilpeg31 said, 3 months ago
DMajor: Pab is talking about Chicago’s CTA.

how about “a subway named moebius” - a short story i read once about an overly complex subway system (in Boston, I think) which had one of its trains ‘cross’ to the back side back side (another dimension) and disappear. very interesting tale.
hope you did well in Chicago, PAB.

From Nowhere in Particular, it is just a short bus ride to either Charter or Out of Service.

@ Dmajor - Thanks, I thought that sounded like Bostons T to me. I still have some old tokens, somewhere.

“You should have gone to Morrow yesterday and back today for the train that goes to Morrow is a mile upon its way.
If you had gone to Morrow yesterday now don’t you see, you could have gone to Morrow and returned today at three
For the train today to Morrow, if the schedule is right, today it goes to Morrow and returns tomorrow night.”
And happy birthday, Pab!

Didn’t get to comment on this one because I was driving all day yesterday to get home. My comments will end up on Tuesday’s strip.
And thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone.

Hey, Chicagoans…. Before I commit this one to its place in the fourth book, am I right in my memory of which direction (traveling from O’Hare toward the Loop) the doors open at on the Blue Line at Logan Square? Anyone know?
