Was there a period of SNL “Pre-John Belushi”?

call it a tie. not funnier than Dane Cook, but nor is Dane funnier than SNL. (& @Morgan: No. No “pre John Belushi” SNL. he was an original cast member.

Dane Cook hosted SNL. The prosecution rests.

n.b. MorganZ is correct in positing Belushi was in SNL original cast. However, the inference might be taken that Cook is so unfunny, that the empty pre-first show set of SNL is funnier than Cook. To be fair though, SNL has had some funny players & moments. Actually, too numerous to mention. Their practice ( based on several time & $ expediencies ) of stretching sketches, is their Achilles heel. Sorry for my hot air here, Pab ;-)

How about anything involving a BELT SANDER such as
“Shoveing your face into….” funnier than Dane Cook, (Don’t believe me? Ask The Three Stooges.)

That’s not completely fair. SNL is very funny, 1 out of 10 sketches. Or airings. You just have to be really patient.

How about putting a vegetable peeler in one nostril, turning it until the inside of the nose is really raw, then injecting tabasco sauce ? MAN! I hate when that happens !
(But it would be funnier than Dane Cook)

On SNL nowadays, pretty much anything involving Kristin Wiig or Kenan Thompson is very funny.

Which version of “The Wicker Man?” I have never seen the recent remake, so it must be that version. The original is rather creepy. Then again , you were saying it was funnier than Dane Cook.

Dane Cooks funnier than SNL these days. Hasn’t been good since the early 90’s.

SNL has its misses, but only the internet hivemind thinks it’s on Dane Cook’s level.

I wanna play! How about frying bacon while naked?

Is SNL still on? I thought it died some years back!

I remember first coming across gypsy moth caterpillars. We were looking at buying a house in CT. The driveway was COVERED with wiggling larvae, which were quite crunchy underfoot. [shudder] There was no way around them. And people think “The Birds” is scary…
