A lot of women can’t hold their liquor, but it appears Susie does just fine.

No You’re thinking of Carrie Nation

Prohibition was just a scam anyway.

Well, Tobor, if Carrie does show up, it will sure liven up the party.

I used to live in Holly, Michigan. Carrie Nation trashed the towns pubs once and now the town has a Carrie Nation festival every year. It used to have a beer tent, until the state government and liability laws made it too difficult to get a permit. Prohibition and puritanism are both alive and well today. But y’all probably already knew that.

Thanks, pab. Tobor, actually, she started out as a temperance advocate. See Wikipedia.
