   You guys must not be from the South. If you want to see HATS and ladies who are proud of them, you need to hit a cafeteria after church lets out, just about anywhere in the southeastern US. Aretha’s hat was conservative.

    Mivins - actually, I’m a transplant from Honolulu, but there are plenty of “hat queens” over there too, what with all the military families from the South. I hope Ms. Obama will loosen up and take some hints from her sisters around the Beltway… then we might see something to talk about!

    Aretha rocked that hat. It was definitely a conservative version of a church hat, which is why it was perfect. Anything less would’ve been a waste of Her Majesty’s time. Anything more would’ve overwhelmed the occasion.
