Probaly poutine

Yes- that is definitely the Quebec delicacy known as Poutine. Fries, cheese curds and a thick gravy. Roughly translated it means “heart attack on a plate”! God, I miss it!

Thank you ana_demeter. I’ve spent two summers studying in Montreal, one in Quebec City and another in Toronto, and I’d never heard of poutine. Sounds yummy though.

Why did you use a photo of Vancouver, the absolutely least French city in Canada and possibly in the world, to illustrate a poutine joke? That’s just - wow. Next time use a photo of Minneapolis to illustrate a joke about palm trees.

I wanted a city that most people associate as “Canada.” I couldn’t find a good royalty-free image of Montreal or Toronto that would work for the frame, and Vancouver has a history of standing in for other cities on TV and in films.
Besides, it’s on the West Coast, and except for Nunavut or the territories, when Putin rears his head over Canadian airspace, where do they go? British Columbia.

Poutine, I know… but what’s this “Tim Horton’s”? Guessing it’s a donut chain that hasn’t hit San Francisco yet. Could they really be better than Krispy Kreme?
