(I recently was shocked to have my GPS notify me that there was a more efficient route available than the one I was forcing it to take. Pretty cheeky of you, Jill Garmin.)

The GPS lady is a member of the same presumptuous mob who are hired by companies to insult real live people when they phone in. The insult is that the programmer assumes to have knowledge of what the customer wants because of some superior knowledge of the huiman race and therefore no direct personal contact is required.
Don’t react to ‘her’ questions, just hit star 6 times. A real live person always comes on the line and you have gained the upper hand.
