Kids can learn that you can learn from your mistakes and change your life. That’s why I am in favor of letting him continue to play! He can be a positive role model now!
PS: I love dogs.

I have never commented on a comic of any kind but this one motivated me to register just so I can say …
Michael Vick is responsible (yes IS - not WAS - his jail time and fines do not erase the facts of what he did) for cruelty to animals — many if not most died horrifically painful deaths because of him. To poke fun or in anyway make light of his actions is appalling and demonstrates an insensitivity on the part of the creators. Shame on you– speaking of role models how many kids will read this? Probably not many but what is the take away for those who do? Vick’s actions are something to laugh about?

Mspresident - Yeah, I know what you mean. This does seem to make light of something very much not funny, and to sort of let Vick “off the hook.” But I’m guessing they meant for this to be less about Vick than about common human hypocrisy (“no room for cruelty!”).
I guess if someone has to come up with a new joke every day they’re going to hit a clunker, or worse, once in a while.

I think Mspresident missed the point of the whole strip which was to point out the hypocrisy of people who look down on Michael Vick and his actions of violence against animals and then turn around and scream for others to perpetrate similar violence upon other humans under the guise of “sport”. This is more of an editorial comic in my mind than an attempt at humor. But that’s just my opinion.
