    If your standards are low, it’s easier to be satisfied, or even pleasantly surprised. That’s what Keith’s “Life’s Little Victories” series is all about.

    Two-Buck-Chuck here is a better vintage and costs $3.99.

    If you always want too much, you’ll never be satisfied; but if you avoid extravagant expectations, then every little perk is a tiny blessing, and appreciated as such.
    My wife and I can’t afford to do “big things” for each other (new car, diamonds, etc.), but we can always find time to do nice little things for each other (like in Keith’s strip today).
    Those little kindnesses are always appreciated, and long-remembered.

    @PoodleGroomer:
    Are you sure that’s not Four Buck Fred?

    By “low standards”, I didn’t mean “base” or “inferior”. I meant “realistic”.

    OK, but still a rather negative way to express that idea. Words do matter, you know.
    “Realistic expectations” has a better sound to it than “low standards.”
    But nice to know you didn’t mean for it to sound negative.
