Not on MSNBC, MisngNOLA. Olbermann and Chris Matthews have the bloviation franchise all locked up.

Many more opportunities, yes, but nobody watches those other networks so what would be the point?

Intelligent people avoid them all

Thanks for the new word! I had to look that one up. Now…how to work it into a conversation.

Fox News? Don’t bother, pal; they shoot poor people at the door, and then report that it’s suicide.

Derivation of the word “bloviate:” from Old High German, “blowhard.”

I’ll take the worst of Fox over the best of MSNBC’s snarling, sneering Keith Olbermann any day. (Keith Dobermann? Too bad I can’t draw; that has the makings of a good political cartoon.)
Davepostmp: That’s not bad as an insult to virtually everybody, but as a generalization it’s not very intelligent .
Sherlock: Mildly amusing as comic hyperbole, but completely content-free as a statement about Fox.
Amazing, isn’t it, that the massed power of the mainstream networks feels so attacked by Fox News. Even more amazing is that the White House feels so endangered by Fox. But then there is plenty of precedent for the WH: LBJ and Nixon both had their enemies lists.
(Clinton just had his little black book. Carter didn’t have an enemies list; that wouldn’t be Christian. Bush W. didn’t have an enemies list because nobody would read it to him. Reagan just had one enemy, but it was a big one and the USSR is gone now.)

I don’t watch any TV. I find all the bloviation I need in the comics discussions.

Fact-checking a comedy skit is worse than bloviating. CNN, the “real” news network did just that.
