    Well, my lovelies, you see, most all of my cohort (the healthy, fit and brave ones) were slaughtered so that a major oil corporation’s assets could be ignited and we could waste trillions of tax dollars making multinationals more powerful than any government. By hiding in the basement, I preserved my genetic heritage to pass down to you. I expect you to do the same.

    My Grandfather (born 1900) was too young for World War I and too old for World War II

    He had mixed feeling about it, he would have been proud to serve his country but he he also knew plenty enough veterans to undertand the horrors that date of birth spared him

    It’s an okay story -- until you learns he didn’t leave the basement until 1957.

    @Jeff H

    Nobody’s forcing you to keep your kids on your insurance plan until they’re 26.
    If you want to have them get their own policies at inflated rates, go ahead and make ’em do it.

    Excuses for a gutless coward, or just a seditious partisan hatemonger.

    If he was an able bodied German in ww2 he did the right thing. Not enough info to pronounce a railing judgement.
