Phil Frank’s The Elderberries centers around Dusty, a cowboy whose middle aged daughter has decided it’s time for him to hang up his spurs and move to Elderpark, a retirement community. While there, Dusty meets the Professor, a great brain with a bad memory; Evelyn, who can still see well enough to drive at night; and the General, a veteran with bad hips and a lot of stories. Together, they deal with medications, the loss of youth, and their adult children while maintaining their humor and building their friendships.

Boone the stalker?!

Boone apparently forgot what day it is.
The Professor made up a schedule for himself, Boone and Dusty to be with Crespo. And yesterday, he said that Tuesdays and Thursdays would be Dusty’s days to be with Crespo.
How does Boone even know that Dusty is going to see Crespo when the both of them are outside the building?
I thought Elderpark was a single building apartment complex with hallways.
Since none of the three guys even consulted Crespo about their plan, he might think that they are stalking him.
Does Elderpark have an activities director? Some retirement communities do have them; but, the one in which I live doesn’t have one and we don’t have a cook either.

What? This schedule makes no sense
Dusty goes outside and gets ragged on
Boone wants Mr Crespo for himself
Is Boone letting his feminine side show?
And just when will there be a hostile takeover of UPS?
