Phil Frank’s The Elderberries centers around Dusty, a cowboy whose middle aged daughter has decided it’s time for him to hang up his spurs and move to Elderpark, a retirement community. While there, Dusty meets the Professor, a great brain with a bad memory; Evelyn, who can still see well enough to drive at night; and the General, a veteran with bad hips and a lot of stories. Together, they deal with medications, the loss of youth, and their adult children while maintaining their humor and building their friendships.

Um, he had his back to the horse and there’s mud on his front?

Is there a way to kick virtual mud on those who bring up politics here on GoComics?

So, that’s why Dusty Winters didn’t feel like eating breakfast yesterday.
I ask the same thing, Mr.Gromit. Mud on his front while he had his back leaning on the fence and facing away from the horse.
But, the horse had to turn around to kick mud on him and Boone could have turned around to face the rear of the horse, too.
At least, it was just mud and he wasn’t discussing politics with a well-informed dairy cow. A dairy cow’s manure is often a little more watery than a beef cow’s. And it splatters more when it hits the ground.

Is that really mud or did Esmerelda turn her back on him?
