Phil Frank’s The Elderberries centers around Dusty, a cowboy whose middle aged daughter has decided it’s time for him to hang up his spurs and move to Elderpark, a retirement community. While there, Dusty meets the Professor, a great brain with a bad memory; Evelyn, who can still see well enough to drive at night; and the General, a veteran with bad hips and a lot of stories. Together, they deal with medications, the loss of youth, and their adult children while maintaining their humor and building their friendships.

HEY COREY! Only 7 days, can’t wait to see what you have “waitin’ in the wings.” I miss Banks.

I prefer the weather to be around 80 degrees and I usually try to keep the temperature of my apartment around 78 when I am awake.
I really don’t like to wear heavy clothing.
I have been to the beaches in Hawaii in August, December and April.
Here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the coldest weather seems to usually come in February and the 1st two weeks of March.
But, in December 2007, we had an ice storm where lots of people were without electricity. I was living in an other apartment complex at the time. The lights flickered a few times on one day; but, 2 blocks north of me, the people were without electric.
I was told by the manager here where I am now that they didn’t have electric for a while back then and several of the residents spent their days in the lobby where a fireplace is located.

You can only take off so much clothing until you get laughed at, arrested, or both.

Depends on how good the eyes are that are looking. Or if the nude has to wear depends.

On of these days we will have to teach
Someone not too far to reach
Back in their closet for the January sweater
Don’t go outside to be a swing setter
Give then summer at a sunny beach!

Dusty nailed it! (and I know from layering as I dwell among the “polar bears”…)

Naked and angry! Been there, done that. Now I stay layered and happy.
