The Times has competition in Los Angeles, the Daily News, Daily Breeze, and a few others, all owned by the same company. They recently dropped their TV listings, brought them back after getting a lot of complaints.

The Edmonton Journal dropped the weekly tv guide and the sunday edition. The comic section is still good.

Now the LA Times and other papers want to charge you for online use.

RIP, TV Listings. Maybe you were killed by the ridiculous violence on TV.

Allentown PA Morning Call just started a service for deluxe TV listings (available separately). Their comics section is woefully inadequate & overcome with annoying advertisements. Now they’ve added weekend TV listings to the comics pages as well. :P

Same thing with the Calgary Herald. If I had known beforehand that they were going to drop both the Sunday edition as well as the TV Times, I may not had renewed my (paper) subscription last week…
Oh yeah, sure, and for an extra cost, you can still get a different TV Digest inserted into the paper…
