This feels like a classic Ernie Bushmiller gag, and I’m a huge fan of Ernie Bushmiller.

This reminds of visiting a farm in WI, and chicken was on the menu for that night…

That actually looks like a duck running with it’s head cut off.

I love the path. Taken from an actual incident perhaps.

lgwalker16: the path reminds me of Billy and the Family Circus

If Billy got his head chopped off, he’d probably run like that.

“tgaml says:If Billy got his head chopped off, he’d probably run like that.”
I think that’s a “Pearls Before Swine” storyline. Better talk with Pastis before you make a move on that one, or Dean might be making some uncomfortable guest appearances.

I don’t plan on chopping off the heads of any comic strip characters
in the near future.

“Is that another CHICKEN JOKE?!”

This one is a masterpiece down to every little detail. The decapitated chicken head/roof has x’s for eyes, perhaps the greatest comic symbol of all time.
