With its tortured perspective, gritty realism, and outlandish urban humor, Derf’s The City has kept an outsider’s beat on current events, trends and out-there aspects of contemporary culture since 1990. Whether depicting the coarse insanity of modern urban life or the ultra-clean realm of the feature’s only recurring character - White Middle Class Suburban Man - Derf uses dissonant humor to speak up for what he calls "the common schlub."

Not hilarious.
The existence of such nutjob losers as depicted here doesn’t deny the fact that the country is being pushed toward socialism.
Of course, it is always easier to make fun of opponents than answer them.

There is no social problem that cannot be solved with the proper application of high explosives. Throughout history both the left and the right have chosen this path. Don’t push anyone too far.

All 4 of these guys post on Gocomics.
I would list their screennames, but I’ll be nice.
Besides, they’re more than likely to introduce themselves right here by the next time this comic updates.

Obama did hide his real name. I mean “Barack Hussein Obama II” While running, he hide the Hussein. And don’t even bring up the Jr. One might get the idea having dead beat dads is a good thing.
KingRat said, 3 months ago
HQ Jr. and II are two different things.
I see far more comments about the birth certificate stuff on the left blogs (ha ha look at the dumb repubs) than I do on the right blogs.
and the left has the underwear clad basement dwellers too. 9/11/01 was done by the government?
For the dwellers on both sides put on some pants and go out into the light. - this message brought to you by your mothers.

Let’s hope Presidential Assassinations and obssesive Blogging are mutually exclusive hobbies.

KingRat, comments on the commentators is different than comments on the thing itself. Nowhere in this comic is there any kind of statement that this behavior is limited to the right, is there?
Derf, are you okay? It’s been a while since you posted this strip, and what with your recent surgery and things, I worry.

Uhhhh Farren, you might check the first panel wherein it CLEARLY says “The Right Wing Blogospere”. You might also note that the remaining three panels also refer ONLY to the right wing. To me, that says “this behavior is limited to the right.”
