If you’ve been getting ready for the next year (all set on calendars for next year, highlighting birthdays and anniversaries on it?), then I can see why you could forget what day of the week any particular day is, and you can’t get anything done; you’ve focused on the important things in a timely manner, so you’re not under pressure, having a deadline to meet.
