    When I was young I never understood grumpy old men who hated everything new and thought things were so much better “back in their day”

    Now that I’m past 50 I understand them a little better, the world has changed an awful lot in that half century and not all to my approval

    The difference is that I refuse to become a grumpy old man, I know yesterday isn’t coming back and today can be as good as I can make it

    Mornin’ Bucketeers … the past is gone, tomorrow will come but today is a gift, hence why it’s the present.

    When thinking about the past we seem to forget the bad and dwell on the good things. Here in the present we (at least I do) seem to see mostly the things I would like to change back to the way they were and lose sight of the the good things. Ironically, these will be the “good old days” for our grand children.

    @Tax Man

    I am with you on that! Today’s cars are a joke. They are all wind-tunnel designed. Sad.

    And, take a look at the movie stars of the 50’s. Today’s stars are disgusting compared to them.

    Is it “National Rant Day” for Frank?

    @Number Three

    I think it’s more “Local District Rant Day”, but you certainly have the right idea.

    Frank is having a ‘moment’. I understand that moment.
    Its not so much the want of yesteryear. Its more…why cant we be all young & healthy & stuff with endless money so we can go make our own fun. Like the kids do now.
    I dont know if we or the world could handle that.
