Doesn’t seem to be a requirement any more. My wife’s son is 25, no job, no education, no interest in either. Sits around drinking Dr. Pepper and watching fat guys eat stuff on the TV.

To be fair, as far as I understand it Toby has aged less than nine years since 1990, and chances are he won’t age much more for the rest of his life.

I believe you’re right … it may be the cartoonist is lazy, or doesn’t know how to age people.
here’s hoping what I say doesn’t make Greg do:

There’s a successful advertising mogul here in Memphis who tol’ me personally that I had to get old, but I don’t have to “grow up”. He’s been doing his thing for eighty years or so, and I’m sure he’s right. But it does depend on your definition of ‘grow up.’ I had to get insurance and pay taxes. That takes a little grown-up behavior.

Sometimes, we all do. It’s getting us to admit it that’s the tricky bit.

I finally understand the saying youth is wasted on the young.
    .
I am 24 years old. I like 24. Its a nice number. It is an age where you tbink you’re old enough to do all the grown up stuff. But still young enough to have fun and enjoy things.
    .
And I have been 24 for about 28 years. That still means I’m 24. ;-)
