    that’s what people said about computers when they first came out so just give it about 8 to 10 years for the 3D printers to be affordable

    What, no one trying to turn this into a political debate, about how the Other Side would just LLLOOOOOVVVE for all of us to have 3D printers in order to prop up some perceived plot by those unAmerican dogs on the other side of the aisle?

    I’m a little disappointed. Maybe those folks take Saturdays off.

    I expect the endless possibilities have stunned the readers. Night-Gaunt49 points out the biological applications. These are being developed in Labs now. The next decade or so will be interesting.

    3D printers are very, very cool. We have one at work that I’ve gotten to play with a bit. The potential is amazing.

    @DevilsNight – there are some models already available on the retail market for a moderately reasonable price. Several models in the $1500 range and a couple under $1000.
