If Eddie’s hungry, his food will taste good to him.

Not necessarily. Went to a party, was hungry, did not enjoy the food.

Sounds like a desperate visit to a corporate fast-food establishment.

If you only ‘like’ one thing, you don’t get your way very often. Someone else will have to explain it to my kids. They don’t believe me.

Our son is that way . . . . still at 22. He’s getting better though.

My father one told me, when he was a kid, his sister was down to one thing she still liked.
I’m pretty open to trying things that don’t sound palatable. Of course, my mom was a great cook. She made wonderful tofu hamburgers. She once served us scrambled eggs mixed with calf brains and it tasted just fine. Naturally, she didn’t tell us what we’d eaten until after.

Show your kids MY photo, tell them “if you keep eating THAT one thing, you’ll get like Mr. Allan.” that’ll make ’em eat veggies, and less food. :D

Not quite true. If he’s hungry, he’ll eat it, but that doesn’t mean it’ll taste good to him. There’s a distinct difference.

Maybe you just weren’t ‘quite’ hungry enough. :) It worked on my kids anyway. But they weren’t used to sugary, greasy fast food stuff either. It got harder as they got more independent. Now that they are grown they are back to appreciating good healthy food.

but… but… aren’t you eating what you like right now? Otherwise it wouldn’t be on your plate.
    .
and Toby will eat anything and ask later.
    .
that’s where the frog’s eyes and worms come in. Mom’s are good at naming food.
