Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

‘Old’ coffee cup is a relative term. As long as I’m posting first today, I might as well exhort you to click on the banner up there and order your copy of The Buckets Exhausted Parents Guide to Why Your Life is Perfectly Normal. It’s my favorite Buckets cartoons from six whole years. Pow.

Cant eat or drink while I’m working so my Nuclear Coffee stays locked up out in the car until breaks and lunch
Due to the rarity of unobtanium travel mugs and thermoses, I only bring one of each

Old coffee is when you make it from beans ground and canned during the Korean War, in the 1970s. But, in the Navy, you take what you can get.

Good thing you keep it locked in the car. I would hate to think what would happen if it got out!

Free Range Nuclear Coffee in the dead-of-night does sound dangerous, doesn’t it?

I miss-read yesterday’s dialogue. So its … LARRY with the caffeine problem. ….. I must have my morning coffee at morning coffee break. Except this morning I forgot to drink my coffee after I got back to my desk. Bummer. Lukewarm coffee.
