Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

Many people cite Plan 9 from Outer Space as the worst movie ever.
Be fair. With an ultra low budget, anybody, even if you are NOT Ed Wood, can make a crappy movie. Ed himself probably didn’t expect to win an Oscar.
But it takes a special skill to have big stars, big budget, big advertising and still make a stinker.

Seems to me that Hollywood is in the specific business of making the worst movies they can.

E.g., Ishtar.

The worst movie has already been done. And NOT from Hollywood. It’s my 1976 vacation trip…

My ‘worst ever’ movie pick would be Blair Witch, or Freddy Got Fingered.

Reform School Girls (1986), with Pat Ast, Sybil Danning, and Wendy O. Williams (Front woman of the Plasmatics).

I agree, Ishtar is top of the list (and that came to my mind immediately yesterday). No. 2 on the list would be “High Road to China”. Ugh!

No “Plan 9” is so bad it is good. There are others that are just bad.

Naw, I saw “Plan 9” over Thanksgiving. It’s pathetic. I can see where it got its cult following; I wouldn’t be so generous as to give it “so bad it’s good.”

I don’t know. There are certainly things about High Road to China that are likeable. Granted, its not a great movie. ….
…..
There are a number of D – Listed Horror movies that are worst than Plan 9. Sorry Mr Depp, but that Ninth Gate (or Seal or whatever) was really bad.
