My dad won’t even eat the frozen dinners. He’s a peanut butter and butter for dinner kind of man!

    Sounds good to me!
Why is healthy stuff rarely inviting to the palate?
How often have you come in, starving hungry and thought – “I could murder an apple!”?

When my sister and I reminisce about our childhoods, one of us will usually bring up “sugar bread” – white bread, lotsa real butter, and sugar sprinkled on top. The butter holds the sugar in place. Crunchy goodness.

I thought he lived with them. If he does, does he not eat with them most night? I guess I was wrong.

Too much sodium! But as a kid, I loved the Swanson TV dinners that came in the aluminum tray with the aluminum foil that you had to peel back. The fried chicken and the Salisbury steak were my favorites.

I juggle the idea that Frank lives ‘with’ the rest of the family. He’s got the room above the garage. I occasionally draw the outside stairs that lead up to it. It’s a long story. Rarely, I have him sit down to a meal with everyone else, but usually he’s out of sight, doing his own thing.

My family would do that with cold, left over pancakes or waffels. Mmm.

So, given the garage apartment and black jacket, was Frank nicknamed “Fonzie” when he was young?

BTW, I’ve seen widowers in the IGA filling up their grociery bag in just this manner.
