   More informed decisions such as stripping America of her sovereignty. Bankrupting the nation. His biggest change will be socialism, ultimate defeat and surrender of the country to a foreign nation.

   Before you can be in law enforcement there is a mental health test you have to take. On the test they had some questions about comic strips. I use to wonder why. I now know why from the responses from the comic strip club members such as Doctortoon.
   By the way I passed the test. As far as meds go I seen numerous inmates get them prescribed and I asked the psychiatrists
   what the meds do and also why most of the inmates wanted them. I was instructed that mental health meds numb part of the brain.

   Out of respect for the law enforcement I am going to let you know that I am no longer a law enforcement officer.
   From reading a few of your comments your story is as follows:
   Married and divorced three times, currently has a lady friend, in the your mid 40’s or early 50’s, works in a grocery store as possibly an overnight grocery stocker, has a large collection of comic strips, lives on the left coast, possibly CA in or around the San Francisco area, very open to gay rights / marriage, very liberal views, kid or kids in the college or young adult age, one son took or you gave numerous comic strips, has medical insurance and recently sick enough to go to the emergency room.
   But, the question is you are at least a decade or older than me. The liberalism usually gets worse from generation to generation. How did you come out so liberal? Is it the liberal teaching of the east coast, school system, media, I would say college but I am assuming you did not go.
   Let me know how you got to the point where you are?

   freebird77 - Pretty simple answer really. The right went in a direction which I did not agree with. The more extreme the right became, the further to the left I have moved to avoid association.
   If it’s any consolation, there are plenty of nutjobs on the left, too.
   I’ll stand in the center and avoid the crazies at either extreme.

    Thank you for your response. However, I do have some additional questions or comments for you. You stated the conservatives have moved to far to the right. So, I am assuming you mean the republicans. The fact of the matter is about half the republicans in Washington, DC are moderates, Specter (now Democrat) and Snow are liberals, the other half are conservatives. They are usually from the southern states and they are doing exactly what a majority of their voters want. Such as Tom Coburn out of Oklahoma. He may be the only true conservative on all issues in Washington, DC. He is a Doctor by trade. But he fights for the base conservatives such as Pro-Life, Pro-Family, Hunting rights, gun rights, lower taxes, smaller government, etc. etc. Here is a side note for all the animal lovers. If their was no hunting seasons the animals would get overpopulated and large amounts of them would starve to death. Their would be more human animal encounters. The wild life management in each state sets up the days for each hunting season and the amount of animals that each person can harvest. Each year most states are increasing some part of the season and harvests due to less hunters. They also set the fee’s for the hunting license, fishing license, tags, etc. This alone generates millions of dollars in taxes for each state. If the liberals have their way, big government would get involve and cut out hunting season all together. They would then spend millions or billions of dollars for neutering the wild life and if this did not work they would send in the military or some government identity to kill large amounts of wild life to get it under control. I think the money, tax payer dollars, now China’s money could be used to pay off debt and help the overall problems here in America.
    But the Democrats and the few independents are for the liberal side. They are against everything I mentioned above, except the big government and spending large amounts of money very foolishly.
    By the way the last two years of George W Bush’s presidency the Democrats had the house and the senate. They are the ones that approves all the laws, the war still went on and fuel was still at highest price ever. The Democrats did not change anything during this time.
    I do not see why changing to the dark side is actually accomplishing anything.
