Self–described “angry cartoonist” Mikhaela Reid’s multi–panel weekly strip The Boiling Point offers up her unique and steaming blend of passionate political satire, darkly whipsmart humor, moral outraged–ousness and fully engaged give–a–damn fun. From “Dick Cheney’s Magical Universe” to “The Brighter Side of Middle East Violence”, from “Bush Versus My Cat” to “Every Sperm Is Sacred!”, Reid’s boldly drawn and ingeniously conceived commentaries offer those steamed off by these ill–tempered times a well–crafted outlet for mental venting.

Why can a person get a prescription and insurance pays for Viagra, etc., but Insurance won’t pay for birth control………………………

My insurance won’t pay for Viagra but will pay for a vasectomy. I’m on a family plan. I’d say those insurance guys are pretty sharp.

If you can not afford to have a kid you should not be having kids. You think that 50 grand is expensive? 18 years of care is expensive.
Or you can just get knocked up before you get your high school degree and not tell any one who the baby daddy is. This way you can get everything you want and society gets another loser to take care of.
I mean we do know how it happens in todays age of enlightenment.

Wow that comment is a bit judgmental and rude. I had my daughter in high school and I finished on time raised her on my own and never used public assistance.

This cartoon is revolting. Why didn’t she buy insurance before her pregnancy, I did. Adults plan those kinds of things, children expect others to take care of them, in other words, quit expecting others to pick up your tab, you give women a bad name. Birth control has been around for a long long time, no one forces anyone to have a baby anymore. This is just a ploy to force us all to join a government health care plan. When the government takes over health care be prepared for rationing.

I got family health ins when I got married, but because my son was 5 weeks early, it took 5 years to get the SOB’s to pay for the birth.

Wouldn’t her husband also be subject to the pre-existing condition and share the expense? That would make it non-discriminatory.

Self inflicted wound. Don’t breed um if you can’t feed um.

^ I can’t stand judgemental jerks! You definitely were your Mom’s AND FATHER”S self-inflicted wounds. You’re an inflicted woulnd for me too now.
Condom’s are effective, cheap, safe for the woman–won’t lead to a blood clot that kills her. Can a woman physically force a man to wear protection? Men have fun and we women have to pay for it one way or both ways.

Truly Ever hear of self control? When sex becomes “physical force” I believe they have a word for it and police to handle it.

Harleyquinn, you really know how to tell it like it is huh? I notice people really get big balls of steel behind their monitor, because you really just said some harsh crap. Not everyone lives off of the govt. Not every single mother asked to be single. Get a grip on life!
