I know it’s just a typo, but the word is “brats.” I wouldn’t even mention it except that the word “Braut” in German means “bride.” Of course, I’ve known a few of them who are spoiled, too.

Thank you for putting things right. I couldn’t agree more with you.
But I think, there is more behind it. You can get a grill sausage in Germany, which is called “Bratwurst” or “Thüringer Bratwurst”. So the kids could be spoiled “Brats” instead of spoiled “brats”.
