Happy Pi day, ya’ll
As for the name of the bar, all I can think of is “Bar Chi”. Maybe i’m looking at it wrong.
Or, “shut your pi hole”?
Remember: Pi R round; cornbread R square…
Here’s a toast to our favorite mathematician … the one that talks like a robot.
Later on, the police were called to the X Bar because π got eyed and got into a rhubarb (He never could hold his liquor.).
Since we’re dealing with pi, mathematically it’s pronounced x bar; not bar x as it would likely be in ranching country.
From: “Woman’s Day Collector’s Cook Book (revised and enlarged)
Published by: Simon and Schuster, New York
3 tablespoons flour
1 to 1/14 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoons salt
4 cups diced fresh rhubarb
Grated rind of 1 orange
1/4 cup orange juice
Pastry for 9" pie shell and lattice strips
2 tablespoons butter or margarine (Use butter.)
Mix flour, sugar, and salt with the rhubarb. Add orange rind and juice. Turn into shell; dot with butter. Cover with strips of pastry, lattice fashion. Bake in very hot oven (450° F.) 20 minutes. Reduce heat to moderate (350° F.) bake about 20 minutes.
Notes from me:
If you need a pie crust recipe there is one here.
Heat up the oven before putting the pie in.
On the temperature change, just turn down the oven dial and walk away (come back in 20 minutes of course).Rhubarb is tart. The amount of sugar beyond a cup depends on your taste buds.
Bake on the second rack (Top rack is first.).
Sometimes pi are square…..
Help yourself…. and have a happy Pi Day!
LSU baseball has a game tonight. Tickets are on sale for $3.14.
The mathematical constant π (pi = 3.141592653589…) is irrational. It goes on indefinitely and unpredictably. After the 762nd digit there is a group of 6 consecutive “9”s. This is referred to as the Feynman Point, as the Nobel-winning physicist Richard Feynman once stated in a lecture that he wished he could memorize all the digits of π up to the group of six “9”s so he could continue: “nine, nine, nine, nine, nine, nine, and so on.”
Happy Pi Day and Happy Birthday to Steph Curry (Even though it’s your birthday, Steph, I hope you can come back to work tonight)
I think he got Pi eyed!
A double entendres! Kudos for best Pi joke!
√-1 2³ ∑ π
and it was delicious
Tau day gets so little respect.
